Assembly Technician
Our client is a leading engineering and manufacturing organization supporting advanced aerospace and defense programs. They specialize in the design, development, and production of complex hardware used in high-performance and extreme operating environments, including space systems, defense aviation, and precision technologies. Due to continued growth, our client is seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join their production team.
This is a full-time, permanent position based in the United States, operating on a 1st shift schedule.
Role Overview
The Assembly Technician will be responsible for assembling, repairing, and overhauling aircraft components within a production or cell-based environment. Working with limited supervision, this role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to interpret technical documentation, and a commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
The position plays a key role in ensuring components meet strict aerospace standards and production requirements.
Key Responsibilities
The Assembly Technician will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
- Perform assembly, fitting, teardown, and overhaul of aircraft components in line with technical specifications and production requirements
- Read and interpret blueprints, operation sheets, technical specifications, and overhaul manuals to ensure accurate assembly
- Apply adhesives and bonding processes, including furnace setup and temperature control, in accordance with defined procedures
- Execute part marking processes including engraving, etching, stamping, and painting to meet customer and drawing requirements
- Identify, report, and prevent non-conformances, ensuring consistent high-quality output and adherence to aerospace standards
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, and traceability of work performed
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and support teams to resolve complex technical issues and improve processes
- Support Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining a strong commitment to safety standards

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- Experience in Aerospace or precision manufacturing assembly preferred
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Experience with bonding, adhesives, or thermal processing advantageous
- Familiarity with marking and traceability processes in regulated environments
- Understanding of quality standards and non-conformance processes
- Experience working in Lean or continuous improvement environments desirable
Education & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Technical or vocational training in manufacturing or aerospace disciplines advantageous
