A growing manufacturing company is seeking a detail-oriented Buyer / Assistant Production Manager to support daily operations, purchasing activities, production coordination, and customer order management.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys keeping operations organised, ensuring information is accurate, managing vendor relationships, and helping manufacturing teams stay on schedule. You’ll work closely with customers, suppliers, production personnel, and leadership to support the efficient operation of the business.

What You’ll Do

• Review customer purchase orders and contracts for accuracy.
• Manage vendor relationships and coordinate purchasing activities.
• Create and launch jobs within the ERP system.
• Process production, shipping, receiving, and order documentation.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment of materials and supplies.
• Manage subcontractor purchase orders and track outside services.
• Support production scheduling and workflow coordination.
• Interface with customers regarding order status and operational matters.
• Assist with shop floor coordination and support daily production activities.
• Step in for the Production Manager when required.

What We’re Looking For

• Production management, production coordination, or manufacturing operations experience.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to review complex documentation accurately.
• Experience working with suppliers, purchasing, and vendor management.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• ECI E2 MFG experience is a plus.
• Contract review experience is highly desirable.
